Our Story

In the early spring of 2022, after learning our current foster closet was closing, some foster families came together and decided we needed to keep this resource available in our community. Many local families were searching out support in Winston Salem and Greensboro without the closet open.
A team of three met in early April and discussed our goals, our mission, our vision and dream of what Blue Door Restore could be! Blue Door Restore was able to move into 2 Sunday school classrooms right in Davie County and we went to work utilizing that space to the best of our abilities. Quickly the word spread, donations poured in, and families began visiting BDR for their needs.
